Star Schools pride themselves in providing quality education through encouraging a culture of reading as much as possible. The main issue we encounter is that our libraries aren’t well equipped with the necessary materials: novels and curriculum-based books. Many of the books are outdated, more than 10-15 years old and falling apart from so many years of use. Additionally, over the last few years we have experienced an economic recession as well as an adjustment to our national curriculum due to Covid-19. These curriculum changes come with the need for updated books, which makes it difficult to keep our library relevant when finances are being stretched thinly just to maintain our basic collection and needs.
